WELCOME to the official online home of karting standout Anthony Gangi Jr. An official team driver for GT7 Motorsports, Anthony Gangi Jr. is currently running his sophomore season in the Rotax Mini Max class. Also currently competing in the WKA Comer Cadet, as well as Vortex Mini Rok aboard a world-championship caliber Tony Kart chassis, Anthony Gangi Jr. is seen competing at the highest level all across North America, and is a threat to win wherever he goes. A sensation in the cadet karting ranks, Anthony Gangi Jr. is working his way through the motorsports world in pursuit of a dream career as a professional racecar driver.
After a stellar first quarter of the 2013 karting season in the cadet karting ranks, standout driver Anthony Gangi Jr. would make his junior class debut this past weekend. Taking on a brand new series, the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS), as well as a brand new class, the young gun was able to excel against a new set of drivers in the Yamaha Junior category. Earning a pole position, a heat race win and two podium results, Gangi Jr. showed he has what it takes to compete.
Taking to the 7/10-mile Mooresville Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina for the inaugural USPKS event, Gangi Jr. would turn heads as he clocked the fastest lap in Saturday’s qualifying to earn the pole position in his junior debut and his first visit to the Mooresville course. Falling back in the first heat to finish ninth, the GT7 Motorsports/GT7 driver posted fourth overall in heat two and also claimed fast lap honors. Lining up seventh for the main event, Gangi Jr. was again the fastest driver on track, able to clock laps two to three tenths faster than the leaders as he moved into contention for the win. Unable to catch the eventual race winner, Gangi Jr. was able to claim a second place podium result to start off his weekend.
